Designed by Studio Monica Armani for the Trento Festival of Economics to complement the majesty of the city's Piazza del Duomo, Pavilion Trentino housed the bookshop and served as host to various communication events.
The inflated roofing system was made with double layers of different fabric in order to replicate the tones of the cathedral's magnificent ancient stone and marble.
From inside the Pavilion looking up are hints of the legendary ‘enrosadira’ of the Dolomites, when the natural light of sunrise and sunset transforms the mountain landscape into hues of pinks, reds and purples, like the colours of a 'garden of roses'.
Easily assembled and disassembled, Pavilion Trentino was thoughtfully designed to reflect its distinct sense of place.
