Every year the prestigious Piazza Duomo di Trento hosts numerous important and wide-ranging events and festivals from sports to the economy.
Such regular large-scale commercial activity called for a temporary structure that could withstand repeated assembly and disassembly; one that would include conference rooms, press rooms, even bookshops. Considerations for the project included sustainability, technology, new expressions of modern architecture, a sense of place and the vernacular of the Province of Trento.
The Result: Monica Armani Studio designed, fabricated and installed an end-to-end 1,000 square meter turnkey temporary structure seasonally equipped with a heating and cooling system.
A particularly innovative element of the project is the low-pressure blown roof system.
